To light or not to light, that is the question!

I am a light-aholic. I love light. I guess most photographers do. My preference when it comes to natural light vs strobes (both portable and less portables lights) is to always reach for strobes. So when I say I'm a light-aholic, I mean I love anything to do with flashes, heads, packs, insane t1-stop times and being able to layer my lighting. Do I work with natural light? Yes, but that's only  because it's kind of difficult to block out the sun. Is it possible to block out the sun? Sure, you can overpower it using an Einstein unit (or any other powerful unit), but then you end up with photos that looks like night. I much prefer to balance my light, which is why you'll often find me photographing children in the shade. Big lights in the field tend to call out too much attention and they're certainly intimidating and less mobile when it comes to photographing children. For this reason I love using speedlights (aka hot shoe flashes) with my wireless triggers. It makes it much easier to move around and follow children, who for some reason love to move around a whole bunch ☺!

Till my next review, rambling, or whatever, this is, hey, hey
