It's coming. Hang in there. In the mean time I ordered a Nikon Series E 105mm f/2.8...just because it's also considered a decent portrait lens. That lens along with the 105mm f/1.8 and the 105mm f/2.5 should make for an interesting comparison. My review won't go in-depth like my sub-$1000 zoom review, but it will give you just enough information and photos to help you decide which lens is right for you and your style of photography.
So why has this review taken so long?
Well, my MFA program took way more of time than I had anticipated. I've never had to work so many hours to get an A on a final. While I have some great photographs to show for my effort, I am taking a break from my program so I can return to my first Masters in Educational Technology. I'll complete that and then decide if an MFA in photography is something I really want to pursue. Whatever I end up doing, after my MET program is over I have permission to get a D800...that's some good motivation to finish sooner rather than later!
I would like to take a moment to thank a local photographer who allowed me to interview him for part of my final. His website is here:
Alex was kind enough to allow me a glimpse into the world of a working professional. He is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers, and boy did I get an eyeful and an earful about the business side of the craft.
Till my next review, rambling, or post, this is, hey, hey,
