Wowzers...I bought my first Nikon Speedlight 12 years after getting into photography. As some of you know I'm more of a natural light photographer, but this year I wanted to try my hand at strobist work. So far I've played with Yongnuo flashes, and I've been impressed (considering their price), but this flash totally blows the YN-460 out of the water. I won't say how much I paid for it, but suffice it to know that it was for the price of a nice dinner at Outback steakhouse. Sure it's missing the wide angle adapter, but for the price I paid I'm not complaining. Besides, I bought this to be used off camera with 50mm+ lenses, so I'll seldom need a wide angle adapter...

It is powerful! That's all I can say. In terms of build quality the YN-460's pale in comparison. However, that build quality comes with a price, and that's not just the cost difference, but the weight and size difference. This thing is a little brick compared to the YN-460. I'm not saying the YN-460 is a better flash, but in terms of weight and cost the YN-460 MK II does appear to be an easier choice. I'm going to play around with my SB-25 a bit more, and see what I can do with it.
